There are several options on how to read or listen to The Last Handful of Clover!
Although the primary community will be built around my Patreon page, I’m committed to ensuring that everyone who wants to read this novel has the opportunity to do so. If you are in a position to support me as an author, I will be extremely grateful. But I’ll also be grateful for any pair of eyes (or ears!) that take the time to share this work with me.
Below I’ll provide step-by-step guidance on how to join up and become a part of this book’s life.
Patreon is a membership site, where each month an artist’s supporters (“patrons”) contribute a few dollars to their work. In return for that support, the artist (me!) promises to provide access to their creative products. In this case, a basic Patreon membership will allow you to read the novel for about the cost of a cup of coffee every month.
But that is just one of six possible levels of support! If you can afford more, a higher level will allow you to listen to the book in audio format, get behind the scenes content, and even name a character after yourself in an upcoming book.
Just browse the support levels, and decide where you’d like to join.
Wattpad is a huge community of authors that span the gamut. You’ll find established novelists, new poets, kids keeping journals, short story writers, purveyors of fan fiction, and pretty much everything else you can imagine! It’s a fun and vibrant community that supports each others’ work and has been the launch pad for lots of authors that have found publishing and even movie deals.
If you want to read my novel for free, then Wattpad is your platform of choice! The only drawbacks are a) you will get the chapters 30 days after Patreon readers, and b) you will have to endure some ads.
Sometime this fall I’ll be releasing the whole novel as a 200+ part podcast. If you’d rather listen to the novel than read it, this will be your best option. I’ll be adding instructions here when the release date is chosen for the podcast.
